This 4-5 day course is designed for individuals, military or civilian, assigned to positions in high-threat countries / areas around the world. This course requires a degree of mental preparation and a strong desire to defend oneself against a criminal or terrorist threat. Students are not required to have any experience in the use of weapons to attend the course. Individuals attending this course should be in excellent physical condition and capable of light to moderate physical activity. Training exercises will include but not be limited to:
- Combat Mindset
- Shooting Positions
- Basic Marksmanship
- Shooting from Cover
- Stance and Grip
- Vehicle Bailouts
- Multiple Shots
- Low-Light and Night Shooting
- Malfunction Drills
- Speed and Tactical Reloads
- Failure Drills
- Close Combat / Weapons Retention
- Multiple Targets
- Concealed Carry Techniques
In addition to the standard curriculum, individuals attending this course may be introduced to use of shotgun and rifle as well as the use of various weapons found in the country of assignment. Training exercises with these weapons may include:
- Shooting Positions
- Reload and Malfunctions
- Transition to a Secondary Weapon
- Tactical Employment
Students will also be evaluated daily in the following areas:
- Combat Mindset
- Effective and Safe use of the Weapon
- Speed and Accuracy Drills
The course climaxes with several practical scenarios (both day and night), designed around applicable criminal / terrorist incidents. These scenarios culminate all of he skills mastered / taught throughout the course.
