This four day course is designed for individuals military or law enforcement, assigned as firearms instructors or those individuals requiring instructional skills for firearms training. This course requires a high degreee of metal preparation and excellent pistol craftsmanship. Students should have a sound background in instructional management skills and be comfortable in demonstrating both dry-fire and live-fire shooting drills. In addition, students should be in excellent physical condition and capable of light to moderate physical activity.
This course is divided into three types of activiies related to firearms instruction. The first is seminar based with verbal interaction between the Director of AWTI and the students attending the course. The second is dry-fire and live-fire practical exercises - starting and ending with individual shooting evaluations. The third activity centers around individual instructor development.
